Woo and, indeed, hoo! So, what did you plump for in the end?
well, after much deliberation and flipping of coins i decided on the project in physical chemistry. in terms of the underlying science i don't think this was the most interesting project (i reckon the best was quantum chaos in superlattices), but i think it has the most scope for interesting work (the aforementioned project would actually be mostly programming) and is also with a supervisor i've worked with before and get on well with.
