The best music ever (pt 5)

The Silver Mt. Zion Memorial Orchestra & Tra-La-La Band
Brundell Social Club, Leeds, 2nd July 2006

This music is alive. It envelopes me, it reaches inside and prods me into life. I feel it, I feel alive, I feel energised with beauty. This is life, this is art; this is beauty. Right here, surrounding me, drowning me, filling me up until there is no more room inside and I feel like I’m going to burst. This is what the world is about, whispered thought and shouted pain, intense repetition that draws you in, draws you out, leaves you floating in space in whoknowswhere surround by the beauty and the power and the melancholy and the injustice and the beauty the beauty the beauty. Hackles rise, gooseflesh. The music continues, the music continues, it must never stop.

He has left us alone but shafts of light sometimes grace the corners of our rooms. God bless our dead marines. Babylon was built on fire.
