Not sure that they'll be convinced by your disclaimer, but then they are the 'man'. I imagine that what they find most problematic is not that you felt you were doing the wrong thing in the first place but that they were being criticised for a lack of professionalism when it came to using your photos on the website.
yeah, or possibly 'corporate thugs'. i guess they'd file that whole thing in the category marked 'bad press'.
